Fishing & Outdoors Vol 4 Issue 1

2 min read

Welcome to the first issue of the year.

We’re only a few days into the new year and already have two exciting events to look forward to. First up is the Fish ‘N Chicks Tournament 2022 at the Tauranga Sport Fishing Club. This annual event is open to any female who is interested in taking part; whether you are a seasoned angler or are yet to reel in your first big catch, all abilities are welcome to participate. It’s a day that promises to be fun and fully about fishing.

Next up is the Sika Show 2022 in February at Mystery Creek in Hamilton. The two-day show will have a large range of hunting and outdoor products on display, a $35,000 LVB Jet Boat door prize, over $30,000 worth of prizes up for grabs in the Annual Head Competition, a Pest and Native Bird Hunt for children to enjoy and enter to win one of three prizes, the National Duck and Goose Calling Competition, and the Annual Deer Roaring Competition.

Also, as we kick into the new year, it’s timely to celebrate all that was memorable about 2021. We met some interesting people who shared their inspiring stories and initiatives. Our digital presence grew, we started our print edition again, and we left 2021 on a high note with the recently released print numbers. To each of the 281,000 readers, we thank you for your continued support. Catch our Year in Review feature as we look back at last year in our new issue.
