Game bird hunting season is on and while the opening weekend weather favoured the ducks, it didn’t stop around 45,000 hunters head out, with some even bagging a few birds, according to a report from Fish & Game NZ.

Our front page this issue features hydrofoiling that’s making waves around the world, and in Aotearoa, a Raglan-based adventurist is helping people discover and master the sport. Matt Taggart runs New Zealand’s only NZ Maritime accredited hydrofoil school and is confident he and his team can get most people up and away within their first lesson.
