In other news, the court’s verdict on the Amaltal Fishing Co Ltd case is out and Judge Rielly has ruled that the Talley’s-owned company is guilty of bottom trawling in Hikurange Marine Reserve. Greenpeace hailed the verdict but the Nelson-based company says it will likely appeal the guilty verdict to a single charge under the Marine Reserves Act 1971.

The Get Outdoors Week is still on (till 22 November 2020) and the national campaign is encouraging more people to explore the great outdoors. There are also fantastic prizes up for grabs!
